About Trio Sternin

TRIO STERNIN was founded in 2010 on the iniative of Mr. Iancu ZUCKERMAN and Adriana & Martin STERNIN Foundation. 
 
Since its founding the Trio was coordinated by Univ.Prof.Dr. Şerban-Dimitrie SOREANU from the “National University of Music Bucharest”. 
 
"... Trio "STERNIN" is looming as a promoter of all that is beautiful, noble, invigorating and constructive. Their art involves also a pulse of patriotism with amplitude and altitude, a continuous concern and passion to a world of higher expressive performance that will surely enroll them in the national and international circuit of recitals and concerts."

Daria TUDOR was born on 25th of July, 1997 in Ploieşti. She started the study of piano playing when she was 4 years old, under the coordination of Prof. Anca Florentina Borcea from “Carmen Sylva” Highschool, in her native town. In 2006 she starts studying at National Art College “Dinu Lipatti”, Bucharest, with Prof.Dr. Adriana Bocăneanu. Early, with 2002 a new stage of work and study starts under the Mastery of Univ.Prof.Dr.Şerban-Dimitrie Soreanu from the “National University of Music Bucharest”, work continued in the present under new shapes and values, equal with Daria’s changing into HUMAN BEING and MUSICIAN.
 
She is, also, member of Duo "Alter Ego" (together with violinist Georgeta Iordache).
 
Daria’s artistic debut is marked by year 2002, when she obtains The Ist Prize into National Competition “Paul Constantinescu”. With years she has gained a series of national competitions, such as “Marţian Negrea”, “Golden Lyra” and one more time “Paul Constantinescu”, as well as international ones: „Jeunesses Musicales”, “Antonino Miserendino” – The Great Prize, “Pro Piano” – Ist Excellence Prize. She was wining, also, the Ist Prize at the “George Georgescu” International Competition (joining Duo “Alter Ego”).
 
Her first Concert takes place at the age of only 9, together with Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra and under conductor Alexandru Ganea, in “Mihail Jora” Hall of Romanian Radio Broadcasting. Ever since, she has been playing together with conductors Ilarion Ionescu-Galaţi, Horia Andreescu, Ovidiu Bălan, Sabin Păutza, Costin Grigore, Radu Postăvaru, Marius Hristescu, Traian Ichim, as well as with  Philharmonic orchestra “Paul Constantinescu” from Ploieşti (with the same orchestra concerting at “Auditorium” Hall of National Art Museum, Bucharest), “Moldova” from Jassy, “Oltenia” from Craiova and with  Philharmonic orchestras of Sibiu (“Thalia” Hall) and  Oradea (“Enescu – Bartok” Hall).
 
In October 2013 she was recording, for the “Golden Audio Archive” of Romanian Radio Broadcasting, the Concert for Piano and Orchestra no.1, op.15 by Ludwig van Beethoven, within the de  Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra and the conductor Cristian Brâncuşi.
 
She had numerous recitals, solo and chamber ones (on the stages of Philharmonics of Ploieşti, Jassy, Sibiu, Piteşti, Craiova, in the Great Hall and in “Studio” Hall of Romanian Atheneum, in “Mihail Jora” Hall of Romanian Radio Broadcasting, on the ICR – Berlin Stage, on the Great Stage of “Givatayim” Theatre in Tel Aviv, in the “Workshop” Hall of Romanian National Theatre in Bucharest, on the Great Stage of the Royal Conservatory - Koninklijk from Brussels, in the Concert Hall of Peleş Castle, at “JCC” – Bucharest etc).

 
Georgeta Iordache was born in Bucharest on 23rd September 1994. She takes the first violin lessons at the age of 6 with Prof. Magdalena Ursu from Highschool of Music "Dinu Lipatti" in her hometown, and starting with 2010 at “George Enescu” Highschool, also in Bucharest, with Prof. Elena Baltaga.
 
She makes her debut in violin playing in 2001, winning the Ist  Prize at the National Competition "Garabet Avakian" in Bucharest,  followed by a series of prizes in contests: "Paul Constantinescu" - Ploiești, "Jeuneusses Musicales"-  Bucharest, "Golden Lyra" - Suceava, "Spring Arts" - Bacău,  "Timotei Popovici" - Sibiu (The Great Prize), "George Georgescu" - Tulcea , "Cornelia Bronzetti" - Câmpina etc. Between 2004-2013 she was awarded with the Ist Prize at each National Olympics.
 
In 2011, Georgeta Iordache, as soloist, holds series of concerts. She plays the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Concerto no.4 for violin and orchestra in D Major with “Moldova” Philharmonic in Jassy, conductor  Ilarion Ionescu-Galați, and  in Bucharest Romanian Atheneum, conductor Alexandru Totan. Also, at the age of 16, she interpreted with “Oltenia” Philharmonic Orchestra of Craiova and the conductor Alexandru Iosub the Nicolo Paganini Concerto no. 1 in D Major. She participates to the master classes with: Ștefan Gheorghiu, Liviu Câşleanu, Rony Rogoff, Ida Haendel, Adelina Oprean (in 2011), Liviu Prunaru, Remus Azoiţei, Emilian Piedicuță (2012-2013).
 
She is, also, member of Duo "Alter Ego" (with pianist Daria Tudor), wining the Ist Prize of the International Competition “George Georgescu”.
 
She participated to several colloquiums, TV and radio broadcasts. She also had numerous solo and chamber music  recitals (on the stages of Philharmonics in Ploieşti, Jassy, Piteşti, Craiova, Sibiu, in the Great Hall and "Studio" Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum, in the  "Mihail Jora" Hall of Romanian Broadcasting, on the Great Stage of the "Givatayim" Theatre in Tel Aviv, in the Big Hall of the Royal Conservatory - Koninklijk from Brussels, in the Concert Hall of Peleş Castle, at "JCC" – Bucharest and at “German Forum” in Sibiu.
 
 
Ella Bokor, cellist of Trio “Sternin”, has studied in the class of Prof. Marin Cazacu at the “National University of Music Bucharest” where she is currently studying PhD with Univ.Prof.Dr. Șerban Dimitrie Soreanu. In 2009 she obtained a Erasmus Scholarship of the Romanian State which gave her the opportunity to study at “Hochschule für Music und Darstellende Kunst” in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, with Prof. Daniel Robert Graf.
 
She has won various prizes such as: "Ion Voicu" Award and "Icon Arts” Award – at the trio and string quartet competition “Road to Fame”, IInd Prize and Special prize at the “Paul Constantinescu” competition, The Best Performance Award at the Icon Arts festival and the IInd Prize at the “Mihail Jora” contest.
 
Currently, Ella is active, also, as a soloist and a member of various chamber ensembles as Duo Cello Jaya, Duo Art, Violoncellissimo and ICon Arts with which she performed in various events, concert halls and festivals like: Sonoro Interference, Romanian Athenaeum, the Brussels Royal Conservatory - Koninklijk, Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, “Musical Evenings” at the Lutheran Church, “George Enescu” National Museum, the Academic Staff House in Bucharest, Museum of the Romanian Peasant, Cotroceni Palace, Târgu Mureş Radio Broadcasting, ”Hall of Mirrors" of Germans Democratic Forum in Romania, “Peleş Castle” National Museum, the “Romanian Cultural Institute”, Sinaia Casino Hall, Anglican Church, the National Library "Carol the Ist", “The Mask” Theater, Mogoşoaia Palace, “Molodva” Philharmonic Orchestra in Jassy, “Order of Architects”, National University of Music Bucharest, Trio Baroc Collegio Stravagante, “George Enescu” Manor House in Tescani, Sturzda Palace in Miclăuşeni, The Union Museum in Iaşi, Writers Union in Bucharest; ICon Arts Festival, Baroque Week at the Anglican Church in Bucharest, Bucharest Music Film Festival, “George Enescu” Festival, Bucharest Design Week, Simn Festival, etc. She also performed music, poetry and theater shows together with Ion Caramitru, Valeria Seciu and Alexandru Repan.
 
Ella participated in cello, chamber music and orchestra master courses with Fenyo Laszlo at the “Cello-Akademie-Rutesheim”, Marin Cazacu, Robin Pharo, Adrian Mantu, Aage Kvalbein, Helmut Nicolai, Olsi Leka, Ovidiu Marinescu, Andreea Banciu, Dan Prelipcean, Cristian Mandeal, Bjork Lewis and Marcin Sieniawski - cello teachers at Sonoro Interferences Workshop, European Union Baroque Orchestra, Romanian Youth Orchestra, etc.
 
She perform regular recitals on the “Garantat 100%” and “TVR Telematinal” tv shows and plays in various symphonic and chamber music concerts broadcasted on Romanian Radio Channels and National Television programs.
 
Ella is a member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra, the Lanto Arte Orchestra, the Silvestri Orchestra, Violoncellissiom and ICon Arts Ensembles and collaborates with the “George Enescu” National Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Radio Orchestra and Romanian National Radio Chamber Orchestra.
 

Andrei Ioniţă
was born in 1994. Since 2012 he is student at the “Universität der Kűnste Berlin”, at Univ.Prof.Dr. Jens Peter Maintz class. Before he studied cello with Prof. Ani Marie Paladi.
 
He is member of Trio ”Sternin”, activ till 2012, when he began to study at the University in Berlin.
 
Over time he won several national and international competitions, such as Aram Haciaturian” – Armenia,   ”D.Popper”- Hungary, ”J.J. Dotzauer”-Germany, ”Vatelot-Rampal”- France, ”Golden Lyra”, “In Memoriam Serafim Antropov”, “In Memoriam Iosif Sava” - Romania.
 
Andrei participated to the master classes sustained by Steven Isserlis, Marin Cazacu şi Bruno Cocset.
 
He has given many recitals and concerts (in Bucharest, with Phiharmonic Orchestras from Piteşti, Arad, Ploieşti etc), collaborating with conductors such as Ilarion Ionescu-Galaţi, Iosif Ion Prunner etc.
 
He had also numerous appearances at TV (including “Mezzo“, TVR Cultural, “Speranţa” TV etc) and at radio (at “Radio România Muzical” and at “Radio România Cultural”).
